About the Conference: Open Source for Everyone

FOSS for All Conference is open to anyone interested in open source. It welcomes both well-known global open source projects and lesser-known projects that play important roles.

Nonprofit conferences focused on open source, such as COSCUP in Taiwan and FOSDEM in Belgium, help sustain open source ecosystems in their respective countries. In Korea, communities around large global projects such as Python, Golang, Ubuntu, OpenStack, and Kubernetes can form organizing teams, recruit sponsors, and run their own conferences. For individuals and smaller open source projects, however, organizing events to exchange technical knowledge is often difficult.

FOSS for All began with the aim of supporting Korea’s open source ecosystem through a conference that brings together open source projects across different fields. Anyone interested in open source software and communities is welcome. The conference will offer technical talks, community booths, and other activities where developers, contributors, designers, translators, planners, and others can share their experience and knowledge.

FOSS for All is run entirely through sponsorships, donations, and volunteer participation. Participation fees are kept to a minimum to make the event affordable for everyone. The conference has no commercial purpose and follows the principles of free and open source software, with an emphasis on openness and voluntary participation.
